RETURN AND REFUND POLICY
We want you to feel confident purchasing from Shell Dance Designs. Because much of our jewelry is shaped by hand and made specifically for each customer, return eligibility depends on whether the piece was ready to ship or made to order.
ELIGIBLE RETURNS
Ready-to-ship, non-customized items may be returned for a refund if you contact us within 14 days of delivery.
To qualify for a return, the item must be:
• Unworn, unused, and unaltered
• In its original condition and packaging
• Accompanied by the order number or other proof of purchase
• Approved for return before it is mailed
To request a return, email shelldancedesigns@gmail.com with your name, order number, and reason for the return. Please do not mail an item back without receiving return instructions first. Unauthorized returns might not be accepted.
MADE-TO-ORDER AND CUSTOM ITEMS
The following items are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded unless they arrive damaged, defective, or different from what was ordered:
• Made-to-order jewelry
• Custom-sized or specially fitted arm cuffs
• Personalized or custom-designed pieces
• Items altered at the customer’s request
• Pieces made in a customer-selected material, size, bead combination, or other custom configuration
• Items specifically marked “Final Sale” on the product page
Please review all sizing instructions carefully before ordering. An item made according to the measurement or size selected by the customer is not considered defective because it does not fit as expected.
If you are uncertain about sizing, materials, or return eligibility, please contact us before placing your order.
RETURN SHIPPING AND REFUNDS
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect. We strongly recommend using a trackable and insured shipping method. Shell Dance Designs is not responsible for returns lost or damaged while being shipped back.
Original shipping charges and international duties, taxes, or customs fees are nonrefundable. If an order received complimentary shipping, the actual original shipping cost paid by Shell Dance Designs may be deducted from the refund.
Once an eligible return is received and inspected, we will notify you of its approval status. Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days. Your bank or payment provider may require additional time to post the refund.
Items returned worn, altered, damaged, incomplete, or outside the return period may be refused or may receive a reduced refund reflecting their loss in value.
CANCELLATIONS AND ORDER CHANGES
Cancellation or order-change requests must be submitted within 12 hours of purchase. Because production may begin quickly, cancellation or modification is not guaranteed once work has started.
Made-to-order and custom orders cannot be canceled after production or material preparation has begun.
Email shelldancedesigns@gmail.com as soon as possible if you need to request a cancellation, address correction, size change, or material change.
DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE, OR INCORRECT ORDERS
Please inspect your order when it arrives. If an item is damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered, email shelldancedesigns@gmail.com within seven days of delivery.
Include:
• Your order number
• A description of the problem
• Clear photographs of the item and packaging
After reviewing the issue, we will work with you on an appropriate solution, which may include repair, replacement, or refund. Normal variations associated with handmade jewelry—including slight differences in texture, shape, hammer marks, shell pattern, or color—are part of its handmade character and are not generally considered defects.
RESIZING AND REPAIRS
Some Shell Dance Designs jewelry may be eligible for resizing or repair, depending on the design, material, condition, and requested alteration. These services are evaluated individually and are not guaranteed.
Please email shelldancedesigns@gmail.com before sending jewelry to us. If the work is possible, we will provide an estimated price, processing time, and shipping instructions. Customers may be responsible for service and shipping costs.
We currently evaluate repairs and resizing only for authentic Shell Dance Designs jewelry. Items sent without prior authorization may not be accepted.
Nothing in this policy limits any rights available to customers under applicable law.
